4 books by is a publishing project conceived by Libri Aparte and it is effectively the mirror image of the 4 ways to art project.
It is composed of four albums, each of which started as a little book of blank pages given to the four artists involved in 4 ways to as a travel diary before they embarked on their journey from Italy to Albania.
The four blank books were used for notes, sketches or to paste in particular images. They thus represent four unique art books that reflect on the experience of movement, of the space between a departure and an arrival as if it were set between the first and last pages of a book. The entire experience of a journey lies on these pages, in an extreme attempt to retain something: a photograph, a landscape, the layout of a hotel room or a local holy picture.
