Libri Aparte editor was born from the meeting of ideas and competences coming from the fields of contemporary art and graphic design field.

Not only an art editor but a complex reality that can follow, from the project to the realization, contemporary and historical art exhibitions, reviews of literature, films and video-art.

Libri Aparte concentrates on a single interlocutor different professional figures, optimising the available resources for the promotion of cultural and communicational activities and looking always for the best way and the best style in order to reach an high quality result, both cultural and commercial.

Our aim is to connect the art books and catalogues’ publishing with the offer of fundamental services necessary to the organization and the communication of an exhibition or a cultural event, taking care of the coordinated image, the contacts with the artists, the selection of the works of art, the equipments, the preparation of the catalogue, the promotional campaign and creatively cooperating with the different partners – artists, administrators, critics, authors or promoters – , offering a dynamic and effective support.

Our working horizons are always changing, because we are ready to start new projects with creativity an professionalism.

 


She occupies herself with publishing trade, contemporary art and cinema, creating interaction opportunities between these fields and developing any possible connection.

She’s one of the co-founders of the publishing house “Libri Aparte”, born thanks to the fusion of ideas and competences coming from contemporary art and graphic design.

She works for GAMeCinema (www.gamec.it, GAMeCinema section) at GAMeC – Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Bergamo: this is a project dedicated to the connection of visual art and cinema, strictly related to the programming of the museum.

Since 2005 she’s been cooperating with the festival Bergamo Film Meeting, taking part to the organization of some reviews and managing the exhibitions shown during the event, such as Davide Ferrario. Foto da Galera (March 2007, Porta di Sant’Agostino, Bergamo) and Chris Marker (March 2008, Porta di San’Agostino, Bergamo). She organized as independent curator the exhibition Floods. 10 inondazioni per una città exhibition (February-March 2007, Sant’Agostino Church, Bergamo, by Gianluca Ranzi, Giovanna Brambilla, Sara Mazzocchi).

Since 1999 she’s been cooperating with GAMeC as didactic operator, curator of the informatics archives (www.gamec.it, Archive section ) and as curator assistant on the occasion of the following exhibitions War Is Over 1945-2005. La libertà dell’arte (October 2005-February 2006), Enzo Cucchi. Sculture (April-May 2007) and Il Futuro del Futurismo (September 2007-february 2008).

She occupies herself with publishing trade, drawing and illustration.

Graduated at D.A.M.S Bologna university, Art specialization, she works in the didactical field for the chair of History of Contemporary Art, holding monographic lessons and seminars about artistic magazines and contemporary comics.

Her studies are focused on the art magazines of the Fascist period, in particular she cares of detecting their graphical aspect and the different editorial and iconographical projects. In 2005 she published the monographic book L’Orto, rivista d’arte e lettere 1931-39 Bologna, edited by CLUEB.

She studies contemporary drawings and comics. She cooperates with Associazione culturale Mirada in Ravenna for the organization of R.A.M., a competition for young artists coming from Ravenna (2005) and for Komikazen, Festival Internazionale del Fumetto di realtà, 2005 and 2006 edition.

Since 2003 she’s taking part to the writing of some books – the manual of art history Espressioni d’arte edited by Casa editrice G. D’Anna, the catalogue of the exhibition Edoardo Devetta, dall’iconismo all’Informale nella Trieste del dopoguerra, held in Trieste, Museo Civico Revoltella; on the occasion of Komikazen, festival internazionale di fumetto di realtà (edition 2005 and 2006) she took care of the biography and the critical profile of Nicole Schulman, for the catalogue edited by Coniglio Editore and the presentation of the publishing project dedicated to the comic-strip story edited by Beccogiallo; on March 2006 she presented on the catalogue the artists invited to the collective exhibition Mi casa es tu casa: Migrazioni, Mutamenti, Confini, that took place in Bologna, Galleria 18, promoted by Volabò with the sponsorship of the Province and the permanent Council for the Fight to the social exclusion of Bologna; in 2007 she managed the exhibition of Filippo Pirini, chosen for the competition of G.A.I. circuit RAM Mostra artisti ravennati promoted by Councillorship for juvenile politics of Ravenna; in the same year she’s the curator of the installation Cargo Box, scenografie di viaggio by Nemanja Nikolic at 42 OFF Projectroom space of Galleria 42 Contemporanea in Modena.

Since 2003, laboratory of graphic design for the visual communication. Both of the founders, Simone Facchinetti and Andrea Salvi, took the degree in Industrial Design, specialization in Communication, at Politecnico University in Milan.

The experiences of the two founders are complementary and grown up in the graphic design field. The aim is a personal model of visual education through the research and the experimentation of new languages for the visual communication.

Starting from its beginning, &1 lab privileges artistic and cultural fields, designing the coordinated image and the graphical aspects of exhibitions such as Crossroads - La didattica dell'arte contemporanea all'incrocio delle comunicazioni possibili (GAMeC - Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Bergamo, 2004), Biancaneve e il lupo cattivo - Le favole dei fratelli Grimm illustrate da Emanuele Luzzati (GAMeC Bergamo, 2005), realizing publications for exhibitions such as Quasi tutto by Alighiero Boetti (GAMeC Bergamo, 2004) and War is Over 1945-2005. La libertà dell’arte (GAMeC Bergamo, 2005), and working for cultural associations and other associations (Adi Design – Association for the industrial design, Soffia nel Vento, Di+ cultural associations).

They take care of the realization of books and websites for different artists (Mariella Bettineschi, Maurizio Bonfanti, Paolo Facchinetti, Gaia Zebellin) and they take part in the organization and promotion of events such as DonnArt. La donna nell'arte (Nembro BG, 2005) and Insieme ...sognare si può (Bergamo, 2006).

Together or on their own, Simone Facchinetti and Andrea Salvi participate at different competitions among which H2O on the Table 2004 (first edition of Macef Awards, Pilo project received an honourable mention), Un logo per ANCE (Triennale di Milano, 2005) and projects like the full-length film Dodo animale inetto al (Best video award, PROG:ME, Rio de Janeiro, 2005).

&1 lab staff works as graphic consultant both for institutions (Bergamo Municipality, Bergamo Confindustria, Bergamo University) and for private companies (Atelier d'Architeture Juvet Chollet - Lausanne, Co.Modo, Lunatik press office, Fleisch agency and, in the music field, for Universal Music, Desvelos Records and Piloft Recordings). &1 lab designs trademarks and coordinated images, web sites, advertising campaigns, exhibitions, multimedia and editorial projects.
