Libri Aparte considers the Artist’s trailer as an innovative and ductile instrument for the publishing promotion. Based on the model of the film trailer, it can describe artistic events and publishing, trough a few-second video.

The Artist’s trailer indicates an artistic video, both because it is created as a visual document meant to promote and advertise an artistic event or an artistic publication, and because it can be completely planned and realized by professional video-artists.

The definition of the artist’s trailer wants to indicate an advanced multimedia product offering an added value to a catalogue, to an art book or to an artistic event, a multimedia project with high communication potentialities, with the possibility for the artist to sign this job and let the artist’s trailer become a promotional but also an artistic entertainment instrument.

Libri Aparte realizes the artist’s trailer, distinguishing some particular groups:

• Artist’s Showtrailer: video produced on the occasion of an exhibition that can describe in a few seconds the contents, the places and the protagonists of the show;
• Artist’s Booktrailer: short video produced on the occasion of a book or of an art catalogue that can explain the contents, the themes, the atmospheres and the protagonists;
• Artist’s trailer: video produced on the occasion of different artistic events, such as exhibitions, reviews, festivals, meetings and conferences that can show the characteristics and the contents through video interview to the protagonists of the event.

The different proposals of the artist’s trailer and be produced by visual artists specialized in the video language, working in Italy and abroad, thanks to the several contacts developed by Libri Aparte during the years.

Libri Aparte is the first Italian and European publishing society that applied the booktrailer publishing promotion to the specialized art publishing field. Libri Aparte started in this way a new project where young video-artists from all over the world can create the booktrailer.

During the realization of the Artist’s trailer Libri Aparte can follow the different production steps and coordinate the organization according to the following points:

• logistic coordination: management of the contacts with video artists and video makers, management of equipments, locations and other production needs;
• artistic coordination: video planning, curatorship of the artistic project, coordination of video production in contact with authors, publishing houses and museums, institutions or corporations organizing the exhibition;
• video production on DVD and on the different versions in order to be published on the web and on other propagation channels;
• publication of the artist’s trailer on Libri Aparte space on Youtube.com (www.youtube.com/libriaparte);
• publication and promotion of the artist’s Booktrailer on UnDoTV, on the channel Events in Video of Undo.net Pressrelease circuit (www.undo.net), in a specific area dedicated to the “Artist’s Booktrailer” by UnDo.net and Libri Aparte;
• publication and promotion of the artist’s trailer on other channels.
